Done this a few weeks back as commission art.
I was recently looking through some of the artists' works I found a few years ago. Many of them are still inspiring to me although I no longer am working towards the Eastern style. It's a wonderful thing looking at the final product, because everything starts out with a couple of lines or just random shapes.
I'm looking through IFS works, and I think their standard seemed to have jumped. Kind of a bad thing for me, because I'm still struggling to reach their standard. Hopefully, I'll improve fast enough to be able to intern for them when the year ends.
As of now, I'm doing references with illustrations, trying to understand the colours and lighting. I think somehow I already know these things, but I can't visualise them consciously. Gotta be more patient...
Out~
